When it's time to prune your leaves, start by looking for any that are dead, broken, or just not looking their best. Then, with a quick and firm motion, cut away! Be sure to watch your shears to make sure they're sharp.

I don't usually prune my monstera deliciosa since I prefer to let it grow in its way! But if it's gotten a bit out of hand, I'll give it a little trim in the spring when it's still nfriendlyand active and can bounce back quickly. I pick off any leggy, wilted, or dead leaves using clean, sharp tools and gloves to avoid the sap that can make itchy.
